The hijacker of an empty Horizon Air turboprop plane in Seattle had clearance to be among aircraft but did not hold a pilot’s licence, authorities said. The 29-year-old man used a machine called a pushback tractor to first manoeuvre the aircraft so he could board and then take off from Sea-Tac International Airport on Friday evening.
